The red book
“Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung”, also known as “ The little red book”.
This book was widely distributed in China during the Cultural Revolution period.
Almost every Chinese had one at that time.
Nowdays, the young generation only heard about this book, but no one read this and nobody mention it again.
Here is the redesigned version by my own intrepretation as a young Chinese.
This version is still using the iconic color “red” as the color of the cover, but all the titles of the book are gone, as the red color and the small format are already strong enough to speak for themselves.
For the layout, I use the way of Big-character poster, it was the most used layout at that time to spread out the informations.
